I finished my Catherene the Great Necklace and sent it to the customer that I made it for and she loved it!!
Currently I am working on another project; however, I do not yet have any pictures of it. It is the project that I recently referred to, asking you to think Seattle. I had started it and did not like the way it was going so I have ripped it out and have started over.
This past Saturday, we went to the Spokane Rock Roller Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show and I was in hog heaven!! So many pretty rocks and gemstones to look at and oooh and aaaahhh over!! I could have stayed there for days. I was looking for a certain Malachite piece that I could make into a pendant and I found some, although not "The One" so I did not purchase any.
I did find a book on gemstones that I can refer to, to get more educated on them so I can identify them when I see them. Making jewelry is always a learning process for me, anyway. I had a great time there and if you get to a chance to go to one, please do.
I make handcrafted fashion jewelry using wire, beads, seed beads, polymer clay and various other items.

Catherene the Great is done!!!
I got the Catherene the Great Necklace done and shipped to the customer at the end of last week.
I am a little late getting this blog done today as I have not been home to write it. I apologize!! I will see if I can post another blog later this week to try to make up for this one being so late. I was thinking about doing a second one each week anyway.
Here is the finished necklace:

Observations and Catherene the Great Pendant
I have been blogging for a short time now (although, I have had this blog for several years now). Now I know why it sat for a longg time. I had too much on my plate, with working full time, making jewelry and taking care of my family.
Now that I am making my jewelry a full time pursuit, this blogging requires a lot more effort than just sitting down and writing your thoughts. I started planning today's post yesterday and I am still not ready to post it.
I finished my Catherene the Great bead embroidered pendant last night and grabbed a couple of photos using my cell phone so I could send them to the person that I am making it for and I could post those pictures but I know that they are not web quality pictures so I have to get out my camera and light box and take some more pictures that are web worthy. I will be back in a little while with the pictures.
Okay, I got the pictures taken and here is the finished pendant!!

The Embroidery is all done!!
I finally got the bead embroidery done on Catherene the Great. I am so proud of it. I still have to put the backing on it and make the necklace and then it will be ready to send to the customer, who happens to be a great friend of mine. I will have it all done later this week!! It has been a wonderful journey trying to get close to the picture that she liked. I hope she really likes it.
Stay tuned next week for the finished product and the beginning of my next project. Think Seattle!!

Stormy Monday
Here we are on a Monday and it snowed all day yesterday and then in the evening it turned to freezing rain. It has warmed up to a balmy 34 degrees as I write this, and now is raining. The highways were a huge mess here in North Idaho. I guess I-90 east and west were closed for a bit.
I got some more done on Catherene the Great Pendant. It is turning out beautiful and I think my customer is going to just love it!! Take a look!!
